2013-14 Fellows Observing AHWGH Meeting and taking notes for their report

[Carolina Quiroz, 13-14, Mexico] The  meeting of the Ad Hoc Working Group of the Whole (AHWGW) of the Regular Process for the Global Reporting and Assessment of the State of the Marine Environment, including Socioeconomic Aspects took place from 22-26 April 2013 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. All 2013-14 Fellows observed the  meeting and compiled this informal report: RP-WG_April-2013_Fellow_Report

The Experience of participating in a meeting where several countries were discussing main issues of the First Global Ocean Assessment allowed the fellows to better understand the process of multilateral negotiation to achieve consensus and collaboration that is needed to produce the Fisrt Global Ocean assessment in 2014.

The Division’s webpage for the Regular Process is HERE and it contains the Recommendations to the General Assembly of this meeting.
