Training course on Sea and Human Security, Hiroshima Japan

On 27 September – 2 October 2009 the UNITAR organized training course on Sea and Human Security “Governance Toward a Comprehensive Security for Sea and the Ocean: the Hiroshima Initiative” in Hiroshima, Japan. Ms. Nopparat Nasuchon, an alumnus of 2008-2009 batch, was one of participants. The workshop designed to focus on sea and human security that related to economic, political, environmental and nutritional ramifications and further develop the concept embodied in the initiative and to envision the next steps for all who took part. The session again benefited from the knowledge of the network of experts. The workshop was attended by a total of 20 participants and 4 observers from 12 countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
