About / Bio
Carina Abreu is a graduate of Biology, holds a Master in Ecology and a PhD in Animal Biology. Since 2002 she has worked for government agencies responsible for managing the Federal Protected Areas in Brazil and the conservation of biodiversity (Brazilian institute of environment and renewable natural resources - IBAMA; and Chico Mendes Institute of Biodiversity Conservation - ICMBio).
Currently, Carina is an Environmental Analyst of the Department in charge of Management Plans development and review, ICMBio.
