Tamara Ioseliani graduated Georgian American University (GAU) in 2009 with Bachelor of Legal Science Degree. Between 2005-2009 she successfully completed number of Law courses at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Since 2007 Ms. Ioseliani has been employed by the Government of Georgia in different capacities, including intern at the Administration of the President of Georgia (APG), Legal Adviser at the Ministry of Economic Development of Georgia, Senior Legal Adviser at the APG. In September 2010 Ms. Ioseliani was transferred to the United Transport Administration of Georgia (UTA) as an Officer responsible for monitoring Georgia’s implementation of multilateral treaties. Due to the reorganization of UTA re-establishment of national maritime authority Maritime Transport Agency (MTA) of Georgia, Ms. Ioseliani was promoted to the position of the Head of Legal and International Relations Department of MTA. She became responsible for maritime related law-making and technical regulatory processes, as well as international relations of the Agency. In 2012, Ms. Ioseliani was further promoted as a Deputy Director of Agency to oversee the legal process of maritime Georgia and participate in drafting and adoption of legal acts and laws of Georgia on behalf Government of Georgia. Hereby, she is also responsible for monitoring of implementation and enforcement of multilateral and bilateral treaties of Georgia in maritime field, especially those within the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Since 2010, she has actively participated in the work of IMO on behalf of the Government of Georgia.
