About / Bio
Kahlil is a Research Officer in Marine Policy and Governance at the Institute of Marine Affairs in Trinidad and Tobago. His research interests are wide ranging and include ecology and management of coastal ecosystems such as coral reefs, mangroves and seagrass beds; marine protected area (MPA) management; integrated coastal zone management (ICZM); and institutionalization of community based natural resource management. He holds an MSc. in Environment and Development (Distinction) from the University of Reading and a BSc. in Environmental Sciences (1st Class Honours) from the University of East Anglia, both of which are United Kingdom based institutions.
