About / Bio
Andrei Polejack is the Coordinator for Ocean Science and Antarctica of the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. With a BSc degree in Biology and MSc in Ecology, he was able to bridge Science and Policy in issues related to Ocean and Antarctic.
As a result of the UN-Nippon Foundation Fellowship, enjoyed in 2010-11, he could provide better advice on the formulation of public policy and also on how to conduct the linkage between advisory bodies and the scientific community. Personally, the fellowship allowed him to gain experience on top decision making processes, on political sciences, and on foreign affairs.
Because of his commitment to the programme, he was elected in 2010 to be the Alumni Network Representative, position he proudly took until 2013.
