First Degree on International Relations from ITESM, México. Master on Environment, Development and Policy from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom. She participated on the Post-Graduate Course on Building Resilience to Climate Change at the United Nations University in Japan. Has worked for International Organizations and for the Mexican Government. Has also worked for the Gulf of Mexico Large Marine Ecosystem Project (GoM-LME) administrated by United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) with funds from the Global Environment Facility (GEF). Through her past positions, Carolina has developed experience in the implementation of the large marine ecosystem methodology, in environmental education, sustainable development and stakeholders involvement strategies to strengthen regional/local coastal development.
