About / Bio
Anama completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand before returning to Samoa to work for the Fisheries Division of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in 2001. She spent the next five years working in the field of coastal fisheries management, working with villages in the community-based fisheries management programme to manage their fisheries resources. In 2006, she returned to New Zealand where she completed her Post-Graduate Diploma in Science (specialising in Marine Science) at the University of Auckland.
